You will have access to our suite of classroom and virtual training sessions and learning maps that can be tailored to your career journey. We also offer support through further study from external learning organisations including Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand, Master’s Degrees and other certificates.

Health and Wellbeing programmes:

myWELLBEING is EY’s wellbeing program, and our commitment to caring for our greatest assets: our people. We recognise that when our people feel well, they are able to bring the best version of themselves into the workplace, creating a positive work environment for everybody. We understand that there are many factors that contribute to our overall wellbeing, including our mental, physical and financial health, as well as our family and community contributions. Our wellbeing incentive provides financial support for you to invest in your wellbeing and help you achieve your wellbeing goals.

Insights:

Throughout your career at EY, you’ll be exposed to many business sectors allowing you to gain insights into various kinds of organisations so that you can better analyse, innovate, think and act globally.

Experiences:

Work side by side with people from different backgrounds and cultures to think through problems facing some of the world’s most innovative companies.

Be rewarded:

We’ll reward you for your work and your commitment. Here are just some of the benefits you’ll enjoy during your first few years — and beyond.

Support Services:

You and members of your immediate family can access independent, confidential counselling free of charge from qualified counsellors. We offer wellbeing, financial and dietary coaching for you and your immediate family members along with an introductory legal consultation.

Development:

Receiving real-time feedback, coaching, cutting-edge skills and insights is key to becoming the leader you want to be. That’s why we have LEAD, an innovative approach to guiding your career, development and performance.

Benefits and corporate discounts:

You can take advantage of myPERKS, which offers you genuine discounts to a great range of popular retailers. You will also gain access to an online financial planning and education tool, which lets you build your personalised financial plan to help you reach your financial goals.

Professional membership:

We’ll cover joining and annual membership fees for one professional body each year. This includes the Chartered Accountant Australia and New Zealand or an equivalent body for qualified professionals.

Study assistance:

We’ll help you meet the cost of approved external studies, which may include providing you with study and exam leave, financial assistance to cover all or part of your course fees and the cost of your study materials.

EY Ripples:

Through EY Ripples, you will have the opportunity to participate in skilled volunteering. You could find yourself working alongside colleagues to help social impact entrepreneurs grow and scale their businesses or on projects that accelerate environment sustainability. Or you might prefer to volunteer as a mentor for college students helping them with the skills and mindset they need for the future of work. You could even find yourself working with EY colleagues around the world as part of a virtual support network on a project with an impact entrepreneur.

Flexibility:

We aim to create a work environment around the world that enables flexible working, and supports the health and wellbeing of all our people. The office serves as one working location, not as the only one. By providing our people with current technology and encouraging more flexible working, we’re enabling them to work at the office, in transit, at home or from client sites. In the office, our physical spaces provide more informal working areas and meeting rooms so you can successfully collaborate and network.

FLEXIleave:

You’ll have the opportunity to purchase up to six weeks extra leave. This provides you with more time for study, family or other personal pursuits.

DE&I networks:

Our people are encouraged to join and participate in our network groups to expand your personal networks, exchange information and develop professional skills while connecting with leadership, peers, our communities and clients.

myAPPLAUSE:

myAPPLAUSE is our way of showing appreciation and feeling appreciated through recognising the achievements of those around you.

Workplace Giving:

Our workplace giving program offers a simple and cost-effective way for people to give pre-tax donations through their pay. We match all donations up to $5,000 per person and up to $385,000 in total annually and cover all administration costs.

Parent and Carer platform:

You have access to Circle In – a platform offering practical tools, inspiring stories, supporting information and professional advice for parents and carers to help across all stages of their journey. We also have Pink Elephants and a support network for when the journey does not go to plan.

Leave:

We offer many leave options including Flex, International Representation, Graduation, Continuity of Service, Jury Service, Leave Without Pay, Gender Affirmation, Transition Provisions and Domestic Violence. Your recruiter and interviewers can provide you with more information on the types of leave available.

Community volunteering leave:

In addition to EY Ripples, each EY employee receives 1-day paid community volunteer leave annually to dedicate their time to a charity or community organisation of their choosing. You can use it as a full day, or incrementally over a period of time.

Social Club:

The EY Social Club organises a range of activities, from sporting events to informal and formal social functions, including – in most offices – an annual ball.

Employee Insurances:

You have access to a fully subsidised Group Workplace scheme providing Group Life & Terminal Illness Insurances, Income Protection and Group Critical Illness (or Trauma) Cover.

Dress for your day:

We’ve introduced Dress for Your Day, a dress code that further binds our unique culture of flexibility, authenticity and creativity. It means our people can now dress in a way that is appropriate for their work each day. Those with no external client meetings can choose smart casual dress, while those meeting with external clients may opt for more formal attire.

Family leave:

We provide 26 weeks of paid parental leave, which can be taken flexibly by either parent during the 24 months after the child(ren)’s birth. There is no required service period to access the leave. This applies to stillborn birth, adoption, and surrogacy and can be taken as block leave or on a part-time basis. All family leave entitlements are inclusive of LGBTQ people, regardless of the gender of the Staff Member or their partner. This is on top of the Government’s paid parental leave provisions. We provide five days of paid leave for early pregnancy loss and fertility treatment. Along with leave for grandparents to take around the time of birth of adoption of a grandchild with further access to unpaid leave for up to 12 months.
